Inactivity / stop blogging?

Hey all~ Excuse my inactivity in the last couple of months. I've seen that I've written my latest blog somewhere in June and I haven't really shown myself since then. Main reason for that is because I had a long break during summer holiday which I spent with my family, Shortly after relaxing time it was already time to go back to school. I also have to admit that there are some personal issues going on that I've been dealing with in the last couple of months. This also explains why I'm kinda not very motivated to write (long) posts for my blog XD

I'm actually thinking about dropping the whole blog thing and stop posting stuff here. It can be time consuming and I never really have something interesting to talk about anyway, so I'm kinda thinking "who am I doing this for again?" XD I mean there's a lot of things that I like to write about, but it's mostly about personal stories, events I've experienced or stuff I bought. I feel like it's not really interesting for visitors to read, so I could better stop waisting my time. I'll think about it more thoroughly and I might write another blog post when I feel like it.

Thanks for reading~! <3

Drawing: Sumino Hikage

Remember that my brother has gotten me Copic markers for my birthday? I've been dying to try them out, but I didn't have much inspiration at all of what I could draw.

Recently I'm kinda hooked on manga and anime again. I guess that seeing that beautiful art style inspires me to take out a pencil and start drawing. I've also noticed in the past that whenever I'm not into a specific series, I can't draw. Because I just don't know what to put on paper.

About two weeks ago I bought volume 1 of the manga called 'I am here!' (Koko ni iru yo!). I read it and loved it so much that I immediately bought volume 2 on the internet. Yes! Found something I'm hooked on. Drawing time! :D

I wanted to draw the main character Sumino Hikage and try out my newly gotten Copic markers. This is the result!

I must say that I'm kind of proud of this piece. Especially because I haven't drawn in ages! I was afraid that I had forgotten how to draw. But sketching it went really well and quickly! I'm also happy with the outcome of the Copic markers. Right now I'm limited in using colors because I only have a set of 12 markers. I will definitely color more with Copics and eventually buy new sets!

Primark buys

I went to Primark yesterday with my parents. I wanted to score some new clothes before I go on holiday to Indonesia next month. Last time I was there I was like "Must try on EVERYTHING!!", but their collection wasn't that special this time. I did find some nice stuff though!

I think I'll keep on editting my pictures like this in the future when I bought new clothes (thanks Drea, for the inspiration~). I don't know, it just looks neat :3

Yep, dyed my hair black-ish again!

Another thing: Yesterday I also had my very first driving lesson! I actually was less nervous than I thought I'd be, so that's a good thing! I didn't really know what to expect, but everything went quite good and it was pretty fun! My next lesson will be somewhere next week. I'm curious of how that'll turn out ^^.

An Cafe's coming to Holland!

Yes, it's true! Everyone probably knows this already, but after two years, oshare kei band An Cafe (アンティック-珈琲店-) are finally back together from their hiatus!

One of the members, Kanon (bass), already announced this at the kanonxkanon concert I went to last year. He promised us that when An Cafe are finally back together, they'll come perfom in The Netherlands too! And now the long awaited tour has finally been made official! Wahh so excited! It's their third world tour and it's called NYAPPY GO AROUND THE WORLD III TADAIMA o(≧∀≦)o OKAERI o(≧∀≦)o

Their schedule:
  • November 3rd: Moscow, Russia at MILK Moscow
  • November 4th: St. Petersburg, Russia at Zal Ojidaniya
  • November 6th: Helsinki, Finland at Nosturi
  • November 7th: London, UK at O2 Academy Islington
  • November 9th: Amsterdam, The Netherlands at Melkweg (you can buy your tickets here)
  • November 10th: Dortmund, Germany at FZW
  • November 11th: Munich, Germany at Theaterfabrik
  • November 13th: Cracov, Poland at Klub STUDIO
  • November 14th: Budapest, Hungary at Club 202
  • November 16th: Mailand, Italy at Magazzini Generali
  • November 17th: Marseille, France at Espace Julien
  • November 18th: Paris, France at Bataclan
  • November 20th: Berlin, Germany at Astra Berlin
(source: JaME Nederland)

I'm going to their concert together with my cousin Elisa. Still asking around who wants to come along with us. Some of my friends want to go real badly too, it's going to be so awesome!

To me, An Cafe can be considered important. It's one of the very first J-rock bands I listened to frequently and they kinda 'introduced' me to lots and lots of other J-bands! Even though I hadn't listen to their music anymore when I started to listen to the more 'dark' J-bands, they are still the roots of my J-rock fandom I once had ^^ And even now J-rock is still my favorite of few music genre I listen to. I can't wait to finally see them!

Is anyone else going to one of their concerts?

My manga collection

Today I went shopping in Amsterdam together with my parents. I bought some new manga today, and I suddenly got the idea to blog about my manga collection! Well, my 'collection' isn't that impressive at all though! I used to have a lot of manga from different series but I've sold most of them I lost interest in.

DIAN's manga collection

The ones on the top row are my favorite series. I still want to complete and re-read them some time. It's a bit frustrating when you finish a volume and you can't continue. I don't buy manga very often, so sometimes I forget the story line when I finally bought the next volume and I'm not so fond of reading manga online.

So which series and volumes do I got?

  • Vampire Knight vol. 1 - 9
  • Loveless vol. 1 - 8 (and yes, I used to be a shounen-ai fangirl lolol XD)
  • We Were There (Bokura ga Ita) vol. 1, 2, 3, 6
  • Naruto vol. 4 (got two copies of it, Indonesian and Dutch)
  • Inuyasha vol. 30
  • DragonBall vol. 17, 18, 24, 48, 49
  • Alice 19th vol. 1 - 7 [complete]
  • NANA vol. 1 - 4
  • Cherry Juice vol. 1 - 4 [complete]
  • Love Attack vol. 1 - 3
  • Otomen vol. 1

Today I bought:

I am here! is completely new for me. I've read some good things about it and the story seems interesting (I'm a sucker for drama/romance hehe).

Pandora Hearts is a series I simply love. I've watched the anime a few years ago and it's still one of my favorites. I've wanted to start reading the manga for a while now :3

I'm really excited to read both of them!

Do you also read/collect manga? Which are your favorites? :3

How to transfer a Pokémon from Global Link to your DS

You can transfer Pokémon you've encountered in the Dream World to your Pokémon Black/White game. I saw that there's a Lucario promotion going on until 23 May 2012 (thanks Sanne!) which you can befriend in the Dream World and send it to your game through Game Sync. As I haven't caught Lucario yet, I wanted to have it.

It was my first time using Dream World, so I had to figure out how it works. I got a little confused XD I managed to get Lucario in my game, so below there's a step-by-step explanation about how to tranfer a Pokémon from the Dream World to your copy of Black or White. I don't know if more people didn't really get it or if I'm the only one lol XD But anyway, I hope this helps!
